Kevin Mcgushion
Founder and President
Kevin is a serial entrepreneur and inventor with several successful startups and exits during his career. He has over 17 patents to his name in fields ranging from Ai to aircraft structures. Kevin started his first company, Exel Orbital Systems, at age 24 on an invention. At Exel he designed and built robotic welding machines for the Semiconductor, Biopharmaceutical and Aerospace Industries. At the time he sold Exel to his largest competitor in 2008, every rocket and capsule at SpaceX and every satellite at Boeing was made with his equipment. In 2012, Kevin built an Ai driven news company called InkaBinka which Google offered to purchase in 2015. He was the first to create a GPT like chatbot which answered questions based on real-time internet learning. Kevin began developing Barnacle-Shield over 2 years ago. Bourn out of a love of water sports and boating he set out to invent the world's first non-toxic means of stopping barnacle and oyster growth. As the Director of Business Relations at Barnacle-Shield, Chase brings over a decade of experience in cultivating strategic partnerships, driving business development, and strengthening client relationships across the marine industry. With a strong background in communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. Known for his involvement in the marine industry as an Olympic level sailor, Director for YouthSailing programs, and as a certified Yamaha and Mercury technician he is seasoned in developing high-impact partnerships that drive growth and innovation. Chase oversees initiatives that enhance brand presence, foster long-term client loyalty, and identify new business opportunities in alignment with organizational goals. Prior to joining Barnacle-Shield, he held key roles at Quality Boats where he led initiatives in the mobile technician division.
