what about your claim that zip wraps leading edge is 20 times stronger than traditional wraps

On traditional wraps, installers typically nail the wrap to the piling on 3" spacing. With ZipRap's steel reinforced leading edge, the zip straps can be spaced further apart, at 8". In spite of this increased spacing, ZipRap's leading edge is over 20 times stronger when resisting leading edge forces, like wave and tidal action.

L for ZipRap = 8 in. L for traditional wrap = 3 in.
Note: Area moment of inertia for traditional wrap a section of 1" x 0.030" was used. For ZipRap a rod of 0.125" diameter was used.
ZipRap's leading edge is 65 X stronger than traditional wrap using point load.

equation 2 - uniform load

Uniform load used is 0.1 lb/in.
ZipRap's leading edge is 26 X stronger than traditional wrap using uniform load.
