- This leading edge is the single most common failure point on traditional wraps.
Traditional Edge
On traditional wraps, the front edge seam is nailed. This edge will often pleat and open, allowing wave and tidal action to to cause cycling fatigue which eventually leads to failure. Fatiguing frequently happens at the nail head.
HIGH STRENGTH ZIP STRAPS
- High strength zip straps support 175 lbs. of load, that's up to 875 lbs. for a 36" wrap or over 1500 lbs. for a 60" wrap
- The straps are held in place during transport and installation with stainless steel fasteners

how to order
Measure the circumference of your piling.
Length ‘LL’ of the ZipRap sheet you order should be the Circumference ’C’ of your piling at its widest point + at least 3”. If your piling circumference is between two of the dimensions on the table below, select the larger size.
There are 5 zip straps for a 36" wide and 9 straps for a 60" wide ZipRap.
